Account Deletion Policy

1. Introduction

At TripTrack, we respect your privacy and provide you with full control over your personal data. This policy outlines the process for deleting your account and what happens to your data once a deletion request is processed.

2. How to Delete Your Account

You can request account deletion directly through the TripTrack mobile application:

  1. Open the TripTrack app on your mobile device.
  2. Navigate to the Settings section.
  3. Scroll down to the Account section.
  4. Tap the Delete Account button.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your identity and the deletion request.

Alternatively, you can request account deletion by contacting our support team at support@triptrack.dpdns.org from the email address associated with your account.

3. Data Deleted Upon Account Deletion

When you delete your account, the following information is permanently removed from our active databases:

  • Profile Information: Your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
  • Trip Data: All trips created or managed by your account.
  • Expense Records: All expense entries, including amounts, dates, and categories.
  • Preferences: Your personalized app settings and currency preferences.

4. Data Retention

Once you confirm your account deletion, the process is irreversible. We immediately initiate the deletion of your records from our primary databases managed via Supabase.

Please note that some information may remain in our encrypted backup systems for a limited period (typically up to 30 days) before being completely purged. This data is not accessible for regular business operations and is only maintained for system recovery purposes.

5. Legal Requirements

In certain cases, we may be required by law to retain specific transaction data for tax or compliance purposes. Such data will be strictly limited to the minimum necessary and will be archived securely according to our data retention schedule.
